Adelberg™ Laboratories was the first to introduce a parallel-operated clamp, named the Precision V-Clamp, to the market in 1972.
Thanks to the use of advanced technologies, originally derived from the aerospace industry, it was possible for the first time to achieve stable flow rates through PVC tubes, with minimal variations over time.
This allowed for precise flow rate control, which remains the standard underlying the operation of every Infusion Set to this day.

Following the market and product development, Adelberg™ patented and launched the Precision V-Clamp Model III and Model IV, offering improved performance compared to the previous two generations.
These models, in their various versions, continue to be widely used for a broad range of tubes of different sizes and stiffness. The use of the Adelberg™ Roller Clamp within an Infusion Set provides a series of advantages, including:
